This place was a major surprise. Who would have thought this little romantic restaurant would be tucked away so far off the beaten path? The blackened salmon was amazing, staff were amazing, the views were amazing. Really elevated my trip to Washington with my fiancee to being something incredibly special. We hope to find our way back here someday soon.
Beautiful place and surroundings plus excellent service and food.
The food was amazing! Service our first night was okay but not exactly friendly, second night of our stay we went back and a different bartender was working. She treated us like long lost friends and the food was again outstanding. Would be five stars plus if the service had been as good the first night as it was the second.
Great location, inferior layout. Delicious Baked Salmon! Overpriced, in my opinion.
What does one eat while in Coastal Washington? Salmon, of course. Saw this place close the the lodge and decided to give it a try.they gave us a window seat which looked out at Lake Quinnault and then proceeding to blow us away.We ordered 2 different salmon dishes, some prawns, and Mac n Cheese (for the non 🎠eater in our group). The service was fast and friendly. The food took a little bit of time, but you could tell they took great pride in the dishes being made. It was fantastic and definitely worth it when visiting this part of Olympic NP
Two of us had the creamy Dill salmon and two had the blackened salmon. Very fresh and perfectly cooked. We always go here when visiting the coast.
The seafood was very good. I ate the tiger prawns wirh fries and my gf took the salmon. The waiting time was also absolutely ok. Not too overprized.
A fun little place! They have delightful fries. The staff are quite kind and accommodating. The decor is fun. The building is very gentrified. The view can not be beat! Pleasant draft beer selection too. Enjoy!
Excellent broiled salmon - large portion, perfectly cooked with perfect seasoning. Delicious! Fun environment with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Just right for the location and price. My suggestion would be to 'up' the quality of the vegetables; that is what kept me from giving the 5th star. Lol - if animal trophies freak you out - don't go in the bar but also keep in mind that you're in an area where hunting is common. Great place for families; kids were playing out on the large outdoor deck while the adults are and talked, very fun! We were there at sunset - beautiful although viewed through sun shades required due to time of year. Very pleasant and low key.
Nice place, beautiful view (sunset!!!!) and... wait for it... the best salmon I've ever had. I had the blackened salmon and I recommend it hands down.
The best smoked salmon that I ate in my life! Cooked to perfection!
Best staff! Awesome food and ambiance
Super nice staff that were very accommodating and made us really feel welcome. The salmon here is done perfectly.
Delicious, big portion, reasonable price, nice ambience, Nice lake view, nice service.
Great place to have dinner. The Oysters were the best I ever had. The waitress was very helpful and nice.
Good food, lots of local residents there too.
Best restaurant in the area. Great salmon!
Excellent meal! Blackened Salmon and broiled Salmon dinners with lovely view!
I got The New York steak, and I am extremely picky, but it was the best steak I've ever had! So tender and much flavor! And I'm sure local grass fed beef.
Great food, especially the salmon, and good value. Generous pours of wine. Take the very short walk to the RV park next door and see the gigantic, ancient spruce tree.
After deciding to visit the Rain Forest Lodge spontaneously, we were starving by the time we arrived. Thankfully, The Salmon House Restaurant, is right on the grounds. The restaurant opens at 4pm and closes at 9pm. I do wish the hours allowed for it to remain open longer. The wait to be seated did take some time and we weren't acknowledged at all. The service there was rather inconsistent, ranging from good to not seeming to know you're there.Other than that, the place was packed but the view of the lake was lovely. The food was pretty darned good. We had the salmon, fried oysters, and garlic bread. We definitely enjoyed our meal and we would definitely eat here again.
Food was okay for the price. Slow and not that friendly service. We got smoked salmon, broiled salmon, steak, and pie. The salmon was good, but nothing special. The pie was not good tho
We sat comfortably awaiting our dinner looking out the window. The lake, the sunsetting and the light dancing. Then the Grilled Cajun Salmon arrived! So moist and seasoned to perfection! Don’t forget to try the fried mushrooms
Food was absolutely delicious, best salmon in the park. The staff was so friendly and really made us feel comfortable and welcome. Highly recommend for dinner !
Very nice meal with good service. I had a steak and my wife had the trout. Good service. A little pricey, but not bad. Very popular with lots of people, but we didn’t have to wait.
Good food.. ðŸ‘
Great dinner here! Food - 4 stars - blackened salmon was delicious. Service - 4 stars. Friendly but didn't necessarily go the extra mile. Atmosphere - 4-5 stars. Beautiful view. Interesting decor. Felt like you were in someone's private residence. Prices - 4 stars. Good for what it was.
Always a 5 star experience! Great view, great atmosphere, wonderful surf and turf, fantastic drinks and Jen's desserts are always delicious.
I had the blackened salmon with a baked potato and mixed string beans. It was delicious. The salt shakers had what looked to be Himilayan salt. The only thing that was off was a couple drunk people at the bar, complaining that the bar didn't Fireball. It didn't stop them from drinking, just complained at the lack of Fireball.
Reliably good food. Gorgeous views of Lake Quinault! Servers are friendly and knowledgeable. (Salmon is from BC, but still fresh and relatively local.)
Food was great — with a 1980s simplicity. Salad bar with thousand island dressing made me smile. Excellent trout served with green beans and a baked potato. Baked potato was perfectly prepared and came with sour cream butter and bacon. Old school good food. Service is slow, but pleasant. Views of the lake awesome. TIP: Full bar, but don’t go ordering a mojito at this kinda place. It’s a jack and coke kinda place.
This was SO GOOD! We were a party of four and all ended up trying each other's dishes... EVERYTHING was amazing! And the wait staff was also friendly and fast too. I can't wait to come back.
Excellent blackened and broiled salmon! Interior decor was only 1-2 stars worth but the scenic view and the fantastic salmon pulls up the overall score to four stars.
Great location directly on Lake Quinault, with window views from every table. Reasonably priced with great options. We ate here two nights in row, trying the oysters, prawns, steak, and baked salmon. The salmon was OMG delicious, every bite! They do a generous pour on the wine, so we really got great value on our meals. The salad bar and vegetables were a nice change from all the fries we've been eating on our trip. Will be back next time for sure.
Yummy. Great View. A little slow, but I'd go back.
Absolutely amazing food, decent prices and very attentive staff. The food was seriously some of the best I've had. We had the chicken parmesan and the fettuccini Alfredo. The plates were so filling we didn't have room for desert but the deserts we saw looked fantastic. I can't wait to go back. A must stop every vacation in the area.
The best fish and chips I've ever had, this restaurant also has a great view and great staff.
We've tried all Salmon dishes. Danny theChef is excellent. Dill salmon is best. We drive frm Seattle 4 times year to get fish here. Seasonal trout is amazing. Salad bar always fresh, nice. But what happ 2 ambience? Last week- no music, lighting was obnoxious- felt spotlighted rather than cozy. Waitresses were lazy, inefficient, & gave barely token service. Disappointing
Delicious food, fantastic view, and good service.
